Easy steps to take better photos of the Northern Lights.

Quick guide.

  1. Set your camera and lens to Manual

  2. Set your ISO to 800/1600 (Or more depending on your camera)

  3. Set your Aperture (f-stop) to f-2.8 or the lowest you can)

  4. Set your shutter speed, 20 sec and test from there

  5. Always remember your tripod!

  6. Zoom out as much you can, and set your focus to ∞ (infinity)

  7. If you can, use a remote control for your shutter, if not use self timer.

Bring plenty of batteries, memory cards, warm clothes and coffee.

Enjoy the Aurora.
